From Prairie Fields to Global Progress
SAI Platform arrives in Saskatoon to convene the 2026 Annual Event. Over three days, this exclusive, member-only gathering combines on-farm visits, technology and innovation showcases along with expert-led discussions exploring the realities that are shaping the transition to regenerative agriculture.
Designed for inspiration and implementation, the event offers operational insights and takeaways to strengthen supply chains and build the internal business case for regenerative agriculture. By connecting strategic ambition with on-the-ground experience, members will leave equipped with the evidence, perspectives, and actions needed to support business adoption and drive meaningful change.
From the General Assembly and Community of Practice meetings to cultural heritage tours, on-farm visits, and hands-on workshops, participants will hear from farmers, industry peers, and sustainability leaders while exchanging practical insights that translate ambition into action.
Join leading companies, technical experts, agricultural practitioners, farmers, and research institutions as we scale the resilience of production systems through regenerative agriculture.

Walking Path to the Remai Modern

Tour Highlights
1. Vimy Memorial
This memorial honours those who served in the First World War, while reminding us that Saskatoon’s early growth was driven by a national effort to settle the Prairies through agriculture - the very reason this city exists.
2. South Saskatchewan River & Migratory Birds
Pelicans return in April and Canada geese in March, while beneath them the South Saskatchewan River flows north - a direction that surprises many visitors, carrying Prairie water all the way to Hudson Bay.
3. Broadway Bridge & Gabriel Dumont Monument
Opened in 1932 during the Depression and Dust Bowl years, the Broadway Bridge symbolizes Prairie resilience. Adjacent in Friendship Park, the future home of Saskatoon’s outdoor event venue, the sculpture honours Métis leader Gabriel Dumont offering an opportunity to reflect on the deep Indigenous and Métis history that long predates Saskatoon itself.
5. Meewasin: Cree word meaning "it is beautiful"
The river valley around us is protected by the Meewasin Valley Authority and forms part of a UNESCO-recognized urban conservation model, balancing ecology, recreation, culture, and city life.
6. Traffic Bridge & Founders Statue
Saskatoon's original river crossing tells the story of the 1883 Temperance Colony settlers who established Nutana on the east bank. The Founders Statue depicts a handshake between John Lake and Chief Whitecap, whose meeting helped shape the location of the settlement that became the City of Saskatoon in 1906.
7. River Landing
This recent development reflects Saskatoon’s evolution from rail town and working riverbank to cultural gathering place, showcasing how changing land use can transform an urban community. Within, Saskatoon-born singer-songwriter Joni Mitchell is recognized with a promenade overlooking the river, fittingly the name of one of her most famous songs.
